Eazler Inc. (주식회사 이즐러, "we") runs blog.eazler.com (Eazler AI Lab) and processes only the personal information needed for the newsletter. This policy explains what we process, why, and for how long. It is the English version of the Korean policy written under Article 30 of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Article 31 of its Enforcement Decree; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
There are no user accounts. We receive personal information only through the newsletter forms on the home page and at the bottom of each report.
| Where | Items | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Newsletter signup (you enter) | Email address | To email you, every Sunday, the new reports published that week |
| Newsletter signup (recorded automatically) | Signup time, browser User-Agent, path of the page you signed up from | To filter duplicate and automated signups and see where signups come from |
| Signup rate limit | A hash of your IP address mixed with a secret, and the number of requests in 10 minutes (the IP itself is not stored) | To block repeated automated signups from one source |
We do not collect sensitive or unique identification information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 14.
| Item | Retention |
|---|---|
| Email address and signup record | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the newsletter ends, everything is deleted at that point |
| Rate-limit hash | Once 10 minutes have passed since the record started, it is deleted when another signup request is processed |
| Visit-count hash (section 5) | Only today's and yesterday's are kept; older ones are deleted when the next visit is recorded. Daily visitor totals are kept |
How we delete: when a request arrives or retention ends, we delete the rows from the database without delay. Data is kept only in electronic form; we make no paper copies. No law requires us to keep any of it longer.
We do not provide personal information to third parties, except where a law specifically requires it.
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the newsletter data. Because Cloudflare's servers are outside Korea, this is an overseas transfer made under Article 28-8(1)(3)(a) of PIPA by disclosing the following in this policy.
| Recipient | Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) · privacy contact dpo@cloudflare.com |
| Countries | The signup database (D1) runs in the region Cloudflare labels Asia-Pacific (APAC); Cloudflare does not disclose the country within it. Web requests and visit statistics pass through the Cloudflare data center nearest the visitor (including Korea), and the recipient company is in the United States |
| Items | All signup information in section 1, the rate-limit hash and the visit-count hash |
| When and how | Sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) when you sign up or visit the site |
| Purpose | Website hosting, the signup database (D1), and visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) |
| Retention | As in section 2; ends with the service contract |
| How to refuse, and the effect | If you do not sign up, your email is not transferred, but you will not receive report alerts. Visiting the site passes connection data through Cloudflare's servers as part of hosting |
If we start using an email delivery service, we will add it and its transfer details to this section and announce the change under section 10.
This site does not use cookies. Three things run instead.
| What | How | How to opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor count (the footer's daily and total visits) | The server keeps only a hash of the date, IP address and browser User-Agent mixed with a secret, so the same visit counts once a day. The IP is not stored; only today's and yesterday's hashes are kept, and older ones are deleted when the next visit is recorded. Your browser's localStorage keeps the last recorded date (eazler-visit-day) so it reports once a day | Turn off JavaScript or clear site data |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Totals of page views and referrers. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or localStorage for these statistics and does not track people by IP address or User-Agent | Block static.cloudflareinsights.com with a content blocker |
| Display setting | Your light/dark theme choice is saved in localStorage (eazler-theme) and never sent to the server | Clear site data |
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your information, to stop its processing, or to withdraw (unsubscribe). To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any newsletter email; your address and signup record are deleted right away. For anything else, email privacy@eazler.com from the subscribed address; after confirming it is you, we act without delay and within 10 days at the latest. A legal representative or an authorized person can also ask, with proof of the authorization.

This policy applies from October 6, 2026. When it changes, this page will show the date and what changed. If the items collected or the recipients change, we will post the change here 7 days before it takes effect.
October 11, 2026: added unsubscribing through the link in each email (section 6) and the random value used in that link (section 7), and reworded the purpose in section 1 for the weekly newsletter. The items collected and the recipients did not change.
